St. Mary's Loch Circular

This scenic circular walk explores the beautiful St Mary's Loch in the Scottish Borders, following sections of the Southern Upland Way. Starting near the Tibbie Shiels Inn, the route initially heads east along the loch shore before crossing Yarrow Water and climbing onto a historic drove road. Walkers will enjoy excellent views from St Mary's Kirkyard before descending through Cappercleuch and returning to the start point. The route offers varied terrain with gentle hills and beautiful loch-side landscapes, providing a pleasant half-day walking experience in Southern Scotland.
