Starting near St. John's Church, the route crosses pleasant Dorset farmland and woodland, offering varied terrain and occasional southern views. The walk begins by heading east along Dorchester Road, then follows bridleways and field edges past Park Farm, Highwood Dairy, and Admiston Farm. The path winds through woodland sections, including Compound Wood, before returning to Tolpuddle via quiet country lanes. Walkers will experience a mix of grassy tracks, field boundaries, and woodland paths with moderate elevation changes.
