This circular walk explores the wild landscapes of Dartmoor, starting from Hemsworthy Gate. The route traverses open moorland, passing several rocky tors including Rippon Tor, Buckland Beacon, Tunhill Rocks and Pil Tor. Walkers will enjoy expansive views across the moors and a brief passage through the picturesque village of Buckland in the Moor, with its historic St. Peter's church. The terrain varies between clear paths, tracks, and short sections of road walking, with some steep descents. The walk offers a classic Dartmoor experience of granite outcrops, rolling countryside, and dramatic moorland scenery.
